Science, Technology and Knowledge

"Science, technology and knowledge" is one of the key areas of action of the Strategy, which aims to make the UNCCD "a global authority on scientific and technical knowledge pertaining to desertification/land degradation and mitigation of the effects of drought (DLDD)" (Operational objective 3). The CST was given primary responsibility to fulfil this objective. and its operations were reshaped in order to enable the attainment of this objective.

CST 12 held in Ankara, Turkey, adopts 6 decisions, including the workplan for the SPI
22/10/2015 - The CST 12 meetings had very interactive and lively discussions, and featured presentations by various stakeholders involved in the process. Six draft decisions were adopted in the closing session.

Validation of the Roster of Experts
