State of activities:
Priority activities as recommended by the launching meeting of this Thematic Programme Network (TPN 2) held in Lomé, Togo, June 2001 are as follows:» | To support regional and sub-regional initiatives for the promotion of domestication, processing and marketing of agro-forestry products (plant species) of socio-economic interest for African countries; |
» | To support "African Land and Water Management Initiative (ALWMI)" through promotion of agro-forestry inputs and use of African expertise. |
In addition, the fourth Afro-Asia Forum to combat desertification planned to be held in June 2003 will focus on this thematic issue.
