Programme of work of the Committee on Science and Technology

In its decisions 16/COP.5 and 20/COP.6 on the programme of work of the Committee on Science and Technology (CST), the Conference of the Parties decided that the priority issue to be addressed in depth by the CST shall be "Land degradation, vulnerability and rehabilitation: an integrated approach". It encouraged Parties to submit reports on case studies illustrating best practices and innovative research relating to the above theme, taking into account the observations of the CST and its Group of Experts. This priority issue discussed at the sixth session of the CST should be further discussed during the seventh session. The reports of the secretariat on this theme are contained in ICCD/COP(6)/CST/2 and ICCD/COP(7)/CST/2. Reports submitted by Parties are available below in their entirety.
