Accredited Civil Society Organizations contributing to the Fourth UNCCD reporting and review process

Following the decisions adopted at COP 9, COP 10 and the recommendations of the CRIC Bureau meetings relating to the fourth UNCCD reporting and review process, the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) accredited to the COP are invited:

1. To continue liaising with, and provide to National Focal Points information on civil society activities relevant to the reporting as part of their contribution to national reporting. In particular, CSOs are encouraged to provide information on the consolidated performance indicators CONS-O-1, CONS-O-3 and CONS-O-4 as adopted by COP 9 and on any other activity relevant to civil society in the biennium 2010-2011.

2. To upload information on best practices on "sustainable land management technologies, including adaptation. In this regard, CSOs should inform National Focal Points on their submissions on best practices, in order to avoid any duplication of information communicated to the CRIC.

Furthermore, civil society organizations that are not accredited to the Conference of the Parties could also provide information to the national focal points following the templates prepared by the secretariat
