Side Event Description:

THIS SIDE EVENT IS FOR THE Investors Market Place for Drylands. It is envisaged to demonstrate opportunities in dryland products and reveal investment opportunities that emanated through the Country Pilot Partnership Programme on Integrated Sustainable Land Management in Namibia. The goal will be to present Mr Peanut Butter as a viable dryland product business enterprise whereby other investors (Namibia or foreign) can be presented with the opportunity to to invest and make economic returns. The project is illustrative of young women in the drylands seeking alternative livelihood options. The demonstration will include a short presentation on the history of the product and its rise, the lessons learnt in building the small enterprise, and opportunities for investment. It will also include demonstration activities and if possible, a factory visit. ​
