The Caux Dialogue on Land and Security which took place in July 2013 discussed links between land degradation and human security, exploring the potential of sustainable land management as a driver of peace, development and climate change mitigation.
The event, which was held in Caux, Switzerland, and attended by over 200 people, promoted a holistic approach to poverty conflict
and environmental degradation. The event was convened by the former UNCCD Executive Secretary Luc Gnacadja and Chair of the Caux Forum for Human Security Mohamed Sahnoun.
The report of the Dialogue is now available. It covers quotes and summaries of the presentations by the eminent keynote speakers, complemented by grassroots practitioners presentations on their spectacular successes on sustainable land management for attaining human security.
