Empowering Women in Agriculture: Maximizing Nutrition Gain

Women’s contributions to agricultural production are frequently overlooked, despite their prominent role as agricultural producers. Female farmers often have limited access to land, inputs, and information, as well as restricted control over the land that they work on. However, empirical evidence suggests that empowerment of women, along with the engagement of men, improves nutrition for mothers and their children.
