Funded Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM): Land degradation indicators and restoration planting

The University of Greenwich is designing a pilot Decision Support System (DSS) for Arid Lands Restoration. The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) is offering a funded opportunity for an Early Stage Researcher to undertake a Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) for four weeks in January/February 2014 in order to assemble the relevant data sets and identify the relationships between land degradation indicators and restoration planting options.

The researcher will be hosted by the School of Architecture, Design and Construction at the University of Greenwich, London, and will also work with researchers from the School of Computing and Mathematical Studies. A fixed grant of up to €2500 will be awarded to cover the cost of travel, board and lodging.
