“Land Degradation Neutrality - A Response to the 2020 Aichi Targets
Land Day 6 is a forum designed to allow candid discussion about tough policy questions among all stakeholders, outside the negotiating room. The Aichi target of restoring 15% of degraded land and the target on the sustainable management of the land under agriculture, aquaculture and forests are particularly relevant.
Land Day 6, on the theme, “Land Degradation Neutrality - A Response to the 2020 Aichi Targets,”took place on Monday, 15 October 2012 at the Rio Conventions Pavilion in Hyderabad, India during CBD COP11.
The speakers showcased the benefits of a synergetic implementations of the Rio Conventions using successful initiatives that, at once, conserve biodiversity and restore degraded land.
