Other forms of assistance

In addition to the activities mentioned above and taking into consideration the limited human and financial resources available, the secretariat and the Global Mechanism will provide basic helpdesk assistance to reporting entities.
An on-line helpdesk service is available since 16 April 2012, for Parties and other reporting entities to inquire on technical and methodological issues relating to the 2012-2013 reporting and review process. The PRAIS helpdesk service can be accessed at, or through the PRAIS portal (
Parties are kindly encouraged to make use of this facility to address their queries on the current reporting process, and avoid other form of communication such as e-mail exchanges. This would allow the secretariat and the Global Mechanism to promptly and systematically address questions and keep track of answers provided. While sending their tickets, Parties are also kindly requested to indicate (a) the category of their query, and (b) from which​ region the query is originated. This will assist us in channeling the ticket to the right officer/institution and provide a better and timely service. Finally, Parties are advised that the service is available in English, French and Spanish languages. 
This service is discharged jointly with UNEP-WCMC, in light of the umbrella project which will be implemented by UNEP during the current reporting process.
