In response to a specific request by the COP (
decision 15/COP.10) and the guidance of the Bureau of the CRIC (
report CRIC Bureau), the secretariat is pleased to open a call for expressions of interest on two thematic topics of the UNCCD best practices:
(a) Sustainable land management technologies, including adaptation; and
(b) Funding and resource mobilization.
The aim is to provide Parties with an overview on existing expertise and capacity which could support the CRIC in its tasks of compiling, reviewing and disseminating best practices. The outcome of this call will be considered at CRIC 11 in April 2013, with a view to recommending to the COP a number of primary organizations and databases.
The call is open to any agency, institution and organization - whether national or international, governmental or non-governmental - which has a legal personality and which maintains publicly accessible databases relating to one of the two aforementioned themes of best practices is eligible to participate.

Expressions of interest will be received through an on-line questionnaire,
until 31 January 2013 at 23:45 CET.
