- 1968-1972 Research Director of Irrigation of the Sandy Soils and Saline Water. "Northern Sinai Desert Project", carried out by the Hebrew University.
- 1973: Chief Investigator of Irrigation of the Sandy Soils and Saline Water, University of the Negev, Research and Development Authority, "Northern Sinai Desert Project", Beersheva, Israel.
- 1977-1981: Coordinator of the Agricultural Section at the Jacob Blaustein Institute for Desert Research.
- 1982-1986: Head, Salinity and Water Engineering Unit, The Jacob Blaustein Institute for Desert Research, Sede Boqer Campus.
- 1983-1986: Elected head of the Salinity Center of Ben Gurion University of the Negev. (Joint position with Prof. M Tal and Prof. Y. Mizrahi).
- 1987-present: Academic director of the Katif Research Center for Coastal Desert Development.
