Work Experience1) 1975-1978: Irrigation method and water management in arid land areas, focusing on Khuzestan Province in Iran. Project was supported by a grand-in-aid for science research from the Japanese Ministry of Education, Science and Culture (Monbusho); 2) 1985-1994: Analysis of mechanism and movement of desertification on the arid land areas in China, focusing on Mu Us Shamo areas. Project was supported by the Toyota Foundation; 3) 1994-2002: Sustainable development of irrigated agriculture in arid land areas, focusing on China and Iran, Niger, Ghana, Kenya, Chile, Canada, Israel. Project was supported by Monbusho and University funds; 4) 2002-2004: Application of recycling materials for soil degradation in arid lands, focusing on Australia, Project was supported by University funds.
QualificationsMS: Kyushu University (Irrigation, Drainage and Reclamation Engineering) 1967.
