Work Experience- Saudi Arabia. King Abdul Aziz University (July 1982 to August 1983). Postgraduate students advisor on research projects related to desertification and its impact on date palm establishment and productivity. - China. Chinese Academy of Sciences (March 1989 to September 1995). Participated in a joint project on problems and solutions to crop establishment and production in the semiarid and saline areas of China. - Algeria, University of Algeria (December 1992 to January 1993). Worked with Prof. N. Bounaga on desertification and its impact on bioproductivity and oasis ecology. - Israel. The Volcani Center (November to December 1993). Worked with Dr. Y. Cohen on development of water saving cultivation methods in dry land. - Sudan. Agricultural Research Corporation (September to October 1997); Worked with Prof. A.A. Ageep (Director General) on evaluation of current techniques in use for combating desertification in Sudan.
