Work ExperienceSince I took up as Head of Drought and Desertification, I have been involved in at least 20 activities relating to the preparations and to the management of forthcoming Sudano Sahelian drought. The latest of these is the preparation of "10 point Agenda in Drought Management in Sahel. I inform and prepare the Director, Permanent Secretary and Minister of the Ministry on issues relating to Drought and Desertification. I prepared the Ministry's position on Drought and Desertification in Vision 2010. I defined the spectral characteristics of desert elements used in monitoring desertification from space imagery. Presently, I am involved in collaboration with Department of Meteorology, on forecasting the next Sahelian drought down to 1 year.
