| Work Experience | Was employed by the national desertification and drought control unit (NDDU) during the period 1982-97. Was engaged in project identification and formulation, monitoring and follow up in the field of combating desertification and drought mitigation. Has also participated in awareness campaigns throughout the Sudan whereby the problem of desertification was elucidated and the opinions of local people were sought. Also worked for one year as an administration officer with the UNDP (OPS) in the afforestation and reforestation project in Northern Sudan. Is now a member of the NAPs task force in the Sudan respresenting the NGOs (June-November 1997). |
