| Work Experience | Apr 2011 – present (ends in Aug 2011): Consultant for the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to review the World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies (WOCAT) to identify future direction and financing strategy.
Apr 2011 – present: Part-time advisor to UNDP/GEF project on Arafura-Timor Seas Ecosystem Programme (Indonesia, Australia, Timor Leste) on developing a Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis (TDA).
April 2010 – present: Part-time Technical Advisor to project on Management and Policy Support to Combat Land Degradation in China, which is funded under the GEF-PRC Partnership on to Combat Land Degradation in Dryland Ecosystems. My role is to provide overall guidance to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and State Forestry Administration (SFA) on the implementation of the TA.
April 2010 – present: Part-time Technical Advisor to United Nations University for project on Sustainable Land Management in the High Pamir and Pamir-Alai Mountains in Central Asia, which is funded by UNEP/GEF. My role is to provide support and guidance to participatory land-use planning and impact assessment and evaluation of demonstration activities.
Mar 2010 – present: Part-time consultant to the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) on development of East Asian Project on Highly Migratory Fish Stocks.
Feb 2010 – present: Part-time consultant to FAO for: (1) UNEP/GEF funded project on Land Degradation Assessment in Drylands (LADA) to design a follow-up strategy for LADA that builds on its partnership with the World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies (WOCAT); (2) Support to FAO’s GEF Unit; and (3) Development of a GEF Strategy for FAO’s Fisheries Department. |
