Work ExperienceSince 1970, I have been working for the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works Investigation and Planning Department. Between 1970-85, I worked in the Hydrology Section and I made research on Limited Irrigation in the regions subjected to drought and desertification and developed some projects. Between 1985-1996, I worked in the Planning Section and took part in the planning of many irrigation projects. In 1996, I became Environment Section Head and since then, in addition to other environmental subjects, I have been dealing with the coordination of works of State Hydraulic Works related to the Convention to Combat Desertification. I am a member of National Steering Committee for the Convention to Combat Desertification. In the following days, I am planning to establish a Steering Committee within the body of my institution that will enable our work towards combating desertification in a more coordinated manner.
