| Work Experience | I am responsible for a wind erosion control area in Karapinar, Konya, which is the driest city in this region. Geological structure is an ancient lake bed. The project area has a 13.000 ha of land which is 4.300 ha of sand dune land and 4.000 ha of dune shadow. Many kinds of control measurements for wind erosion (movement) are being carried out, such as planting, irrigation, strip-cropping farming, grazing under controlled, grassing spaces between reed-screens, adaptation of new/various grass species and so on. Wind erosion problem is over on the project area but we have same problem in many places of Central Anatolia. |
