| Work Experience | I have studied on the flora of various geographic regions of Turkey as a participant in a project and as a project leader in three studies. I was a participant in two projects which were "Taxonomic and Ecological Studies on some economically important Geophytes of Turkey" and "Endemic Plants of Turkey". Both are supported by TUBITAK (Turkish Scientific and Technical Research Council). The main aim of both projects are to collect the geophythes and/or endemic plants, to estimate their ecology and threatening state, and to make some comments of their sustainable use. I participated in the "Databases of the Flora of Turkey" project. Relevant websites are: www.herb.bio.itu.edu.tr/therb/ and www.bio.edu.tr/plant-plants. I have jointly prepared a report on "National Plan for in-situ Conservation of Plant Genetic Diversity in Turkey" with the support of the World Bank.
