| Work Experience | - I have been a practicing town planner (Government employee) for the past 18 years. For almost 10 years (1979-1990), I served in a regional town planning office (Iringa Region) and one main duty entailed preparation of land-use plans for urban as well as rural (village) centres. At the ministry's head office, I have always been engaged in development control.
- Preparation of village land-use plans was particularly characterised by multi-disciplinary/multi-sectoral team approach and public participation. As a town planner I used to co-ordinate the teams.
- Main aspects of development control include planning policy and legislation, my mainstay duty since 1991. |
