| Work Experience | Duties & ACCOMPlishments: Bureau of Land Management, National Science and Technology Center
This was a special assignment to work within the USGS's Polar Program funded by the National Science Foundation on 3 separate projects in Antarctica. The work involved the extensive use of helicopters and various types of GPS equipment including Ashtechn, Tremble and PLGRs to collect geodetic data for highly defined points in the An tarctic. In this unique position I was viewed as a representative of the USGS in an international setting. I worked as part of an international team comprised of the Director of Mapping for the British Antarctic Survey, the Surveyor General of New Zealand, a graduate student from teh University of Ohio's Polar Studies Program, the chief goedesist from teh USGS's Polar Program and the Director of the USGS's Polar Program. I regularly worked and intereacted with teams from around the world, such as teams from Russia, Britain and Italy; and other US Government agencies |
