| Work Experience | My activities have been devoted to agricultural research in the Brazilian semi-arid region with emphasis on soil conservation and management. The lmain research lines are the characterization, mapping, management and conservation techniques for semi-arid areas with the objective of preserving our natural resources in Brazil and inother countries. I have also been involved in research administration of an agricultural research center located in the Brazilian semi-arid region (Embrapa Semi-Arid), as the main Head of this institution. I have worked as Project Coordinator for the Brazilian Northeast in several research projects dealing with soil management and conservation; I have been technical advisor for technical publications on soil an natural resources; I have also been Instructor in a series of technical training courses on soil and water management, including training for technical staff both in Brazil and in Guatemala and Honduras. |
