Since 1999: Head of the SDC sponsored programme ESAPP (Eastern and Southern Africa Partnership Programme) on sustainable resource management and regional development in Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, and Madagascar. 3. 1998: Organiser of an international conference of the Swiss Priority Programme Environment (SPPE), the Government of Kenya, and the University of Nairobi on “Research, Planning and Conflict Resolution for Sustainable Use of Natural Resources” in Kenya, sponsored by SDC and SNF.
