Work ExperienceResearch experience for thirty years in the field of Forest soil survey and soil sample collection, profile study, soil physical, physicochemical and nutritional status characterization, reclamation of soil; Productivity enhancement with different amendments; Field trial and pot trial to ascertain the reclamation strategies with suitable packages for sustained productivity; Recycling of organic matter done for preparing compost and vermicompost and applied in the nursery and field; Root trainer nursery technique followed for quality seedling rise, accomplished multiplication of bamboo through macro propagation and rhizome separation techniques. Associated with the Project “Reassessment of Forest Types of India” and covered Nagaland state as team leader. Associated with the project entitle “Assessment of soil carbon stocks and dynamics in Forest Soils of India for the period 1995-2007”, ISNC Project under UNFCCC, as scientist in charge. Executing research project entitle “Studies on soil profile attributes under Forest and Jhum land areas of some selected sites of Nagaland state” as PI. Executed three research projects on “Trials on compost preparation technique”, “Standardization of nursery technique for raising quality planting stock in root trainer” and “Carbon sink and fertility status relation of soil under different land use system of some States of NE India” as principal investigator.
