Study on Securitizing the Ground, Grounding Security launched today

Securitizing the Ground, Grounding Security (UNCCD Issue paper No2) is launched today at the side event, “Land Degradation and Public Security,” during the ongoing Seventeenth session of the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD17) in New York. The event is co-organized by the UNCCD and the Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs of Spain.

Securitizing the ground – Grounding Security is a study that posits a paradigm of soil security in the context of the present global challenges and that highlights the unique global contribution of the UNCCD.
