Work experience
Since August, 2021 I have been serving as a project manager in the framework of the project "Strengthening land based adaptation in the framework of the project "Strengthening land based adaptation capacity in communities adjacent to protected areas in Armenia". The following activities have been accomplished under my direct guidance and coordination:
- Introduction and implementation of community based, climate smart agricultural practices in degraded areas to reduce climate risks vulnerability of production systems and sustain protected areas.
- Strengthening value chains for climate smart agriculture and climate smart technologies made accessible for vulnerable rural communities, including equally for women and men.
- Increasing awareness, planning, monitoring and decision-making capacity on climate smart agriculture production methods and land degradation neutrality in target communities.
- The project applies a gender-sensitive approach whereby women’s participation in planning is strongly promoted.
