High-level segment

UNCCD COP16 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in December 2024 will bring together government ministers and high-level officials for a landmark event to accelerate action on land, drought resilience and green transition in Saudi Arabia, the region and beyond. At the invitation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a Leaders' Summit, is expected to be held during the first week of the COP with participation of Head of States, CEOs, and other global leaders to address the global challenges by identifying solutions to combat desertification, land degradation and drought (DLDD).
