UN agencies and International organizations

The United Nations operates as a unified body, with different UN agencies supporting the objectives of others while carrying out their own work. Through their work, UN agencies address land degradation and desertification. Each agency approaches this issue through the lens of its own mandate, and their work contributes significantly to the achievement of UNCCD's objectives.

Eighteen United Nations agencies collaborated to produce Global Drylands - A UN system-wide response. This report is a UN-wide policy framework, detailing how different agencies can concretely contribute to achieve UNCCD’s 10-year Strategy and support its mandate.
