Story
Bonn, Germany – The multidisciplinary panel of experts at the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) has developed a guide that focuses on key elements which practitioners may need to consider when undertaking an IPBES-inspired assessment. The purpose of the guide is to help address conceptual, procedural and practical aspects of assessments – be they thematic, methodological or general evaluations of biodiversity and ecosystems at global, regional and sub-regional level – and ensure that they are compatible with larger scale IPBES-approved assessments.
The Guide is a living document which will be updated and expanded over time to reflect the work of the IPBES task forces, expert groups and experiences of experts involved in IPBES assessments.
