May issue of the CSO newsletter now online

Bonn, Germany – The UNCCD CSO panel has released the next issue of its bimonhtly newsletter. The newsletter highlights the role of civil society organizations in the time of the global COVID-19 crisis, inviting testimonials from CSOs that have adjusted their actions to provide assistance to partners and beneficiaries during the pandemic.

The newsletter also presents the role of CSOs in alerting governments and international institutions to the threat that the destruction of ecosystems and land resources in particular poses for the health of people and the planet. After the pandemic, going back to business as usual is unthinkable, and CSOs have an active role to play in changing the attitudes and actions of the society toward a more sustainable partnership with nature.
