Thank you for supporting 2020 Desertification and Drought Day

Bonn, Germany – The first-ever online global observance of Desertification and Drought Day has proven to be a global success, thanks to the support and contributions of many prominent public figures and organizations. Over 60 million people from more than a hundred countries accessed the day-long programme that featured a high-level panel, a talkshow, a concert by UNCCD Land Ambassadors, movie screenings, discussions with experts and presentations by youth activists. The UNCCD secretariat would like to express its deep appreciation to Korea Forest Service who hosted the global event this year.
