In 2021, the GGW Accelerator was launched to facilitate coordination and collaboration among stakeholders involved in the GGWI to enhance impact measurement and achieve the initiative's ambitious goals. The GGW Accelerator works closely with national governments, international organizations, private sector partners, and local communities to accelerate action toward achieving the initiative's goals.
Through its five pillars of investment in agricultural value chains, sustainable management of pastoral lands and dry forest/shrub land, access to clean energy, climate-resilient infrastructure, and improving the livelihoods of young people in the Sahel region, the GGW Accelerator is transforming pledges into reality and preparing transformative programs at scale to achieve 2030 goals. This newsletter will provide a comprehensive overview of the GGW Accelerator, including updates on recent field visits, the latest developments from the GGW website, and plans for the future.
