The report attempts to evaluate the extent to which a new physiographic classification of landscape can be used as the basis for the storage of practical information about terrain from which predictions can be made. The landforms of the hot deserts of the world are classified into"land systems" and "facets'. data on soil and vegetation from USA, Lybia and the Middle East are quoted and analysed statistically .
