An exciting new addition to PCI Media's Comics Uniting Nations series, which uses the power of comics to teach young people about the SDGs, “Gridiron Green” is a first-ever sports and environmental sustainability comic book. The writers conceived this comic book as an opportunity for a football tie-in inspired by co-creator Ovie Mughelli’s life, as well as speaking to his environmental activism. In the comic, Obasi, a running back sports character and environmental activist, through tragedy and adversity, is entrusted with the earth’s environmental guardianship. The comic offers a new perspective to the SDG series, relevant to an age of growing concerns around corporate responsibility, sustainable lifestyle practices, and an ever-growing audience of sports fans.
