During the half century that followed the Independence of regional economic integration in Africa was presented as a priority in development policies. The current international context makes it even more necessary integration whose progress is still slow. However, the gains to be expected are considerable.
The possibilities of such a building and gains resulting development are examined in depth in this book for both economic unions of the Franc Zone (UEMOA and CEMAC), which together thirteen countries on the old and original base two monetary unions. A radical progress towards regional integration would be able to provide to member countries of these two unions an additional two to three points of annual growth.
