The Investment guidelines for youth in agrifood systems in Africa, developed jointly by FAO and the African Union Commission (AUC) through a multi-stakeholder and participatory process, highlight the importance of youth as change agents and key stakeholders contributing to sustainable agrifood systems. The guidelines aim to accelerate investments in and by youth in agrifood systems by providing practical guidance - including tools and examples - to design, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate youth-focused and youth-sensitive investment programmes and to engage youth fully as partners in the entire process.

The guidelines were prepared with the support of the AUC and FAO Technical Cooperation Programme (TCP) “Partnership to Support AU’s Strategies on Social Protection, School Feeding and Rural Youth Employment” of the FAO Regional Office for Africa (RAF) and from the Investment Centre (CFI). This publication is part of the Investment Toolkits series under the FAO Investment Centre's Knowledge for Investment (K4I) programme.

Élaborées conjointement par la FAO et la Commission de l’Union africaine (CUA) et fruits d’un processus multipartite et participatif, les Directives sur les investissements en faveur des jeunes dans les systèmes agroalimentaires en Afrique soulignent l’importance des jeunes en tant qu’agents du changement et parties prenantes majeures contribuant à des systèmes agroalimentaires durables. Elles visent à accélérer les investissements dans et par les jeunes dans les systèmes agroalimentaires en fournissant des conseils pratiques (dont outils et exemples) en matière de conception, d'élaboration, de mise en oeuvre, de suivi et d'évaluation de programmes d’investissement axés sur les jeunes et tenant compte des jeunes.

الخطوط التوجيهية بشأن الاسثتمارات في النظم الزراعية والغذائية لصالح الشباب في أفريقيا والتي تشاركت في إعدادها منظمة الأغذية والزراعة ومفوضية الاتحاد الأوروبي من خلال عملية تشاركية لأصحاب مصلحة متعددين، تسلط الضوء على أهمية الشباب باعتبارهم عوامل للتغيير وأصحاب مصلحة رئيسيين يساهمون في النظم الزراعية والغذائية المستدامة. وتسعى الخطوط التوجيهية إلى تسريع وتيرة الاستثمارات في الشباب ومن قبلهم في النظم الزراعية والغذائية من خلال إعطاء توجيهات عملية – بما يشمل الأدوات والأمثلة – لتصميم برامج استثمار محورها الشباب ومراعية لهم، وبلورتها وتنفيذها ورصدها وتقييمها ولإشراك الشباب مشاركة كاملة باعتبارهم شركاء في العملية برمتها.

وقد أعدت هذه الخطوط التوجيهية بدعم من مفوضية الاتحاد الأفريقي وبرنامج التعاون التقني في منظمة الأغذية والزراعة، "الشراكة لدعم استراتيجيات الاتحاد الأفريقي للحماية الاجتماعية والتغذية في المدارس وعمالة الشباب في الريف" لدى مكتب المنظمة الإقليمي لأفريقيا ومركز الاستثمار. وهذا المطبوع هو جزء من سلسلة مجموعة أدوات الاستثمار في إطار برنامج المعرفة من أجل الاستثمار (K4I) التابع لمركز الاستثمار في المنظمة.
