The effect of two types of primary tillage, one with multiarado (LM) and the other with disc plow (LAD), on the energy flow and the dynamics of carbon dioxide (CO2) of the upper layer of soil was evaluated. The experimental plots were located in the Rancho "Los Ángeles", Municipality of Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico (25º 6,650 'N and 100º 59,413' W), where the climate is of type BWhw (x ') (e) and the soils are of Feozem lúvico type (Hl). During the autumn of 2006 and the summer of 2007, measurements of energy flows and CO2 were made, taking as reference a no-till (NL) area based on the Eddy Covariance method.
