The Laudato Tree Project promotes the role of trees in sustaining biodiversity, offsetting carbon emissions and combatting soil erosion. Links have been established with the Great Green Wall, an African initiative to combat desertification across the African continent and, in this context, the United Nations Convention to Combat Deserification UNCCD will partner with the Laudato Tree Project.
