The Asia-Pacific region covers a wide geographical area, with diverse landscapes, societies, cultures, religions and economies.
Of the 41 countries in the region, 11 are high emitters, 11 are Least Developed Countries (LDCs), 17 are Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and nine are considered fragile states.
