Globally, our food system is not sustainable, does not provide adequate nutrition to everyone on the planet and, at the same time, changes to our climate threaten the future of farming as we know it (a quote from Achieving Food Security in the Face of Climate Change, final report from the Commission on Sustainable Agriculture and Climate Change, 2012). Agriculture is both part of the problem and part of the solution to climate change. With our great pleasure, we present this book based on articles published in the Special Issue of Sustainability—Sustainable Agriculture and Climate Change. International research, including the work by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), has stated that climate change is a reality.
