This is a series of blogs, curated by IIED associate researcher Philippine Sutz, that will take a close look at a range of identified principles that could improve women’s access to and control over land in the global South.
In this series, Sutz will collaborate with women and men from partner organisations Tanzania Women Lawyers Association (TAWLA) and IED Afrique to progress the ongoing debate on what works and what doesn’t work to strengthen women’s land rights in sub-Saharan Africa.
These blogs will collect lessons from six years of IIED’s work on gender and land issues. We expect to have a new blog every month focusing on a different aspect that could strengthen women’s right to land.
