Presenting Women & The UNCCD Through The Years
The UNCCD Secretariat invites women of the world to be part of the project, which aims inter alia to tell the stories of women’s tremendous contributions to the successful implementation of the Convention thus far. Whether you work on a farm, in a village, in a school, at the sub-regional, regional or international levels to help promote the message and implement the actions to Support Sustainable Land Management.
LAND: Recognizing The Faces and Voices of Women;
Celebrating Their Roles.
This Exercise aims at showcasing the critical role, women from various parts of the world play in Support of Sustainable Land Management (SLM), and consequently the implementation of the convention
This was achieved by preparing a collection of interviews, stories, pictures, and videos from women of all origins, backgrounds, and ages, working in all areas concerning SLM, be they farmers, activists, politicians, scientists, or working in any other area contributing to SLM.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
