Accredited CSO
The UNCCD COP recognizes that the involvement and participation of the civil society is vital to the successful implementation of this Convention. It therefore welcomes the contribution of CSOs, with particular regard to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to the official meetings of the UNCCD.
Representatives from CSOs that are accredited to the COP may directly participate in the UNCCD secretariat’s sessions. At these sessions CSOs are consulted on United Nation’s policy and programme matters. They also play key roles at major United Nations conferences as indispensable partners for efforts at the country level. Below are the current accredited CSO's to the Convention.

PM.Haze (PMH) is a Singaporean non-profit established in the wake of the haze episode of 2015, when smog and ash coming from peat forest fires covered the region. PM.Haze combats this transboundary environmental issue through two ways - (1) community-led peatland restoration and capacity-building efforts in Indonesia to reduce fire risk and improve climate resilience, and (2) youth education and empowerment across Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Speak Out Africa Initiative empowers communities across Nigeria to combat land degradation through climate education, advocacy, and grassroots action. Our programs focus on tree planting, waste-to-resource solutions, sustainable agriculture, and youth/women inclusion. We strengthen local governance and partnerships to promote land restoration, resilience, and progress toward UNCCD’s land degradation neutrality goals.
We work with different livestock rearing communities especially pastoralists . An important focus is access to resources by pastoralist communities and gender concerns therein. We believe that it’s important that pastoralists both men and women are given the opportunity to articulate their concerns as well as a vision for the future -for their children , their livestock and for the land in which these animals are grazed.

RAINS is a Ghanaian registered non-governmental organization that is committed to promoting the rights of the marginalized in society with major focus on Gender and responsive public services, building community resilience and social cohesion, biodiversity and climate resilience, green livelihood and decent jobs for youth and women and Institutional strengthening. RAINS third focus area aligns with UNCCD as it promotes climate friendly interventions in our climate programming.

Founded in 2011, APC is a non-profit environmental organization whose primary objectives are to promote environmental protection and restoration in order to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. It implements activities aimed at educating and raising awareness about climate change and various environmental issues, combating pollution, and promoting better waste management practices. One of its main objectives is to promote the creation of green jobs.
