Accredited CSO
The UNCCD COP recognizes that the involvement and participation of the civil society is vital to the successful implementation of this Convention. It therefore welcomes the contribution of CSOs, with particular regard to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to the official meetings of the UNCCD.
Representatives from CSOs that are accredited to the COP may directly participate in the UNCCD secretariat’s sessions. At these sessions CSOs are consulted on United Nation’s policy and programme matters. They also play key roles at major United Nations conferences as indispensable partners for efforts at the country level. Below are the current accredited CSO's to the Convention.
SCORE aims to promote physical, social, mental and spiritual well-being of the individual and the community based on values of Justice, Love, Equality and Peace. SCORE hopes that this will lead to the establishment of a just social order. i. Awareness, Organization Building - Gender equity and women rights ii. One Planet SA supports schools and individuals to be the change our planet needs. We focus on implementing environmental education projects that develop an environmental ethic with a strong action focus. For the past 3 years we have been supporting schools in KZN with the Sustainable Schools Programme. We have supported schools and surrounding communities with biodiversity gardens, the clearing of alien invasives and waste clean-up all of which contribute to eco-system restoration.
The mission of SPSD is to promote the global green community and develop the socioeconomic conditions of populations including unemployed youth, teen mothers, people with disability, for their self-reliance and to enable them to be aware of their rights. Activities: • Provide capacity building to local population and awareness on the environmental conservation, sustainable practices, and climate change adaptation; • Empower youths and single mothers with entrepreneurship skills.

Vision of Community Development Association (VoCDA) is an indigenous secular NGO established in 2003 as local NGO and currently registered as per the new law local NGO. Legally registered with CSO authority as local NGO and its registration number is 0129. Its objectives is to work for the betterment of the needy community through sustainable natural resource management and biodiversity conservation. It has been engaged into different environmental, food security and women empowerment program.
Concientizamos sobre el cuidado del ambiente y la preservación de la biodiversidad. Proponemos soluciones a través de acciones junto a instituciones educativas, empresas, gobiernos, trabajando junto a la comunidad en alianza con otras OSC. Tenemos 3 programas: Regeneración ambiental en áreas naturales protegidas; Capacitación en sistemas productivos regenerativos; Educación ambiental en escuelas en 6 ejes (agroecología, biodiversidad, consumos responsable, alimentación saludable y agua).
