Members of the new Intergovernmental Working Group on Drought announced

Bonn, Germany – The COP Bureau has confirmed the members of the new Intergovernmental Working Group (IWG) on effective policy and implementation measures for addressing drought under UNCCD. They will be working together with the experts appointed by the Parties to form recommendations that will be considered at the next session of the COP. The group includes participants from key stakeholders including UN agencies, the UNCCD Science-Policy Interface and other scientific institutions, regional organizations and civil society.
