Accredited CSO
The UNCCD COP recognizes that the involvement and participation of the civil society is vital to the successful implementation of this Convention. It therefore welcomes the contribution of CSOs, with particular regard to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to the official meetings of the UNCCD.
Representatives from CSOs that are accredited to the COP may directly participate in the UNCCD secretariat’s sessions. At these sessions CSOs are consulted on United Nation’s policy and programme matters. They also play key roles at major United Nations conferences as indispensable partners for efforts at the country level. Below are the current accredited CSO's to the Convention.
ADIFE RD Congo asbl vise à contribuer à l’amélioration des conditions socio-économiques de la femme rurale et urbaine en protégeant la biodiversité, à travers la promotion de l’environnement humain et des écosystèmes forestiers en RDC.
Miahy sy Mizara is a non-profit in Madagascar supporting vulnerable and deaf children. We promote education, well-being, access to clean water and sanitation, and social inclusion. Our environmental efforts include tree planting, sustainable agriculture, and awareness campaigns to combat land degradation and climate change, aligned with UNCCD goals.
Earth Regenerative Project Sierra Leone promotes sustainable land management, reforestation, and community resilience to combat desertification and land degradation. Our aims include restoring degraded ecosystems, supporting local livelihoods, and raising awareness about climate adaptation. Activities involve tree planting, environmental education, capacity building, and collaborating with communities to implement regenerative practices aligned with the UNCCD objectives.

The Junta Unida de Misiones (JUM) is part of the Ecumenical Movement formed by Christian churches that, guided by the values of the Gospel, draws upon them for its service actions through connection and dialogue with Indigenous communities, recognizing the richness and importance of cultural diversity. The Jum works on Community Development; Leadership and Gender Development; Land and Territory; Access to Water and Promotion of Agroecology; Indigenous Worldview and Eco-Spiritual; Environment.
Organic Farming Academy promotes regenerative agriculture to combat land degradation and enhance climate resilience. Through biochar production from agricultural waste, composting, and farmer training, we restore soil fertility, improve water retention, and sequester carbon. Our work aligns with UNCCD aims by advancing sustainable land management, empowering rural communities, and promoting nature-based solutions to reverse desertification.

APDCN is dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture, conserving biodiversity and improving the living conditions of rural communities. Our objectives include raising awareness of agroecology, supporting environmentally-friendly farming practices and empowering farmers. We run training courses, reforestation projects and initiatives to raise awareness of environmental issues. These actions aim to strengthen the resilience of communities in the face of climatic and economic challenges.
