Over the course of two weeks, UNCCD COP17 will bring together governments and a wide range of stakeholders to advance action on land restoration, drought resilience, water, rangelands and food systems.
To help focus discussions and mobilize action, COP17 will center around a powerful Action Agenda to bridge political decisions with real-world solutions.
The high-level segment of the COP will take place during the second week, featuring multiple Ministerial dialogues:
The COP programme will also include high-level and special events designed to generate political momentum, mobilize partnerships and support practical outcomes across the four thematic days: Finance, Water, Land and People, and Food Systems and Soil Health.

- Mayors' Forum
- High-level ministerial event on security and migration
- High-level event on sand and dust storms
- High-level event on rangelands and pastoralists
- High-level dialogue on food systems and soil health

- Indigenous Peoples’ Caucus
- Local Communities’ Caucus
- Business4Land Forum
- Business for Land Pavilion
- Fashion4Land Forum and high-level event
These events will take place as part of the ambitious Riyadh–Ulaanbaatar Action Agenda for COP17 – a platform to accelerate action and showcase innovations to restore degraded land, proactively manage drought, support food security and build resilient economies and societies.
