Drought continues to be one of the most under-financed climate challenges, despite growing awareness of its systemic impacts on agriculture, water, energy, and health. Join us 13:00 to 14:30 CET for webinar will bring together global institutions, financing mechanisms and national experts to explore sources of funding for drought-related activities and how countries are mobilizing finance through national drought management plans. The session will also open the floor for dialogue on gaps, barriers and innovative financing solutions — including the role of risk insurance and multi-sectoral strategies— to better address drought as a slow-onset hazard that cuts across sectors. The 10th Kubuqi International Desert Forum will convene in Ordos, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as a vital international exchange platform for desertification prevention and control.
