Civil society organizations
The UNCCD COP recognizes that the involvement and participation of the civil society is vital to the successful implementation of this Convention. It therefore welcomes the contribution of CSOs, with particular regard to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to the official meetings of the UNCCD.
Representatives from CSOs that are accredited to the COP may directly participate in the UNCCD secretariat’s sessions. At these sessions CSOs are consulted on United Nation’s policy and programme matters. They also play key roles at major United Nations conferences as indispensable partners for efforts at the country level. Below are the current accredited CSO's to the Convention.

Through these actions, we ensure that gender responsive approaches to desertification are priorities at all levels.

Aim of the organization is to provide extensive engagement in multi-facet climate action and environment protection, tree planting for climate change adaptation (terrestrial and mangroves), capacity building programs on alternative sources of livelihood and, awareness campaigns on climate change, environmental degradation and unsustainable development, water and waste management (litter pick up in beaches, mangroves, ), research, youth empowerment through Untied Nations conferences, webinars.
Fundación Bariloche conducts interdisciplinary research, capacity building, and technical assistance on sustainable development, focusing on climate change, energy policy, socio-ecological systems, and vulnerability. Its work supports sustainable land and resource management, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean and other developing regions.
EcoServeDev, a youth-led organization, directly supports the UNCCD's aims, including SDG 15 and Land Degradation Neutrality. We implement Green Climate Action projects for land restoration, promote Inclusive Development through community-driven solutions in drylands, and conduct Strategic Advocacy for sustainable land management policies, leveraging technology and local knowledge for a #betterplanettogether.

BCHR supports the UNCCD process by enhancing community resilience to climate hazards and disasters in Yemen, including through early warning systems and promoting green solutions. Their work addresses environmental degradation, aligns with SDG 13, and contributes to combating desertification and mitigating drought effects through sustainable land management practices.
